While Intarcia may continue development of a drug for the original clinical indication, it also seeks to add value by redirecting development to new indications.

Intarcia also expands the utility of its products by developing new formulations, often in partnership with other companies, when such efforts will permit patients to be more comfortably or more effectively treated.

Since the founding of the company, Intarcia's management has executed the strategies of redirected and expanded development by forming partnerships with multiple international pharmaceutical companies, and has created a portfolio of products in advanced clinical testing in oncology and infectious disease.
